Limited Brands gives 90 non-profit agencies a FREE Shopping Spree

Ninety Central Ohio non-profit agencies recently received a FREE shopping spree to acquire gifts for their clients and hard working volunteers. Local agencies collected bins of "free" product from body lotion, candles, home decor to other beauty products from Bath & Body Works and Victoria's Secret, a product donation with an estimated value of over $2 million. The product donated to these agencies is being used to assist clients in need or to reward nonprofit volunteers for their outstanding service in the community.

Product was also shipped and donated to some key social service partners in our other home office communities. In addition, over 160 pallets of merchandise were donated to partners such as Mid-Ohio FoodBank, United Way of New York/Gifts in Kind Warehouse and Keep Franklin Beautiful's Waste Not Center which provides supplies to teachers, artists and other nonprofit organizations.

"We are so thankful to Limited Brands for this donation," said Tyler James, Development Coordinator, Goodwill Columbus. "Not only was it a lot of fun but the donated merchandise will be greatly appreciated by program participants, volunteers and staff. Limited Brands' support enables us to continue to offer outstanding opportunities to extraordinary people."

"This product donation from Limited Brands touches the hearts of so many," said Betsy Kirby, Corporate Relations & Events Manager, Big Brother Big Sisters of Central Ohio. "We were able to pick up so many items that will be very useful throughout the year. Many of these items will take the place of things we would have otherwise had to purchase, allowing us to spend our agency funds on new programs and projects."
