Associates Make the Holiday Season Brighter for Those In Need

Limited Brands wrapped up 2009 with the gift of giving. Associates near and far had the opportunity to make spirits bright by granting wishes, feeding the hungry and lending a helping hand in their local communities this holiday season.
Associates from our home offices as well as our retail stores adopted families through our national "Holiday Giving Tree" program. Gift tags with children and families' wish requests were collected and our associates were Santas elves by purchasing gifts for more than 29,000 children and families to open this Christmas.
Limited Brands also hosted their annual holiday meal for their home office and distribution center associates in Columbus and Kettering, Ohio; New York City; and Rio Rancho, New Mexico; where associates donated more than $9,600 in cash and 6,573 pounds of food to the MidOhio Food Bank. In addition, associates also donated items such as blankets and Poinsettas to local shelters and hospitals.
Limited Brands' associates jump-started their holidays with a more than $6.8 million company match contribution to United Way. In addition, in 2009.
- More than 370 Limited Brands associates volunteered on 21 volunteer at local child care facilities such as the Ronald McDonald House and Salvation Army.
- Limited Brands was involved in more than 170 projects, involving more than 3,200 volunteers and dedicated 13,000 hours of service to the community.
